PROFILE OF FIRM
Dissmann Orth was established by Robert Dissmann and Hans-Jochen Wolf in 1978. From the outset, the founders, formerly partners in one of Munich's leading corporate and tax law firms, intended not to be all things to all people, but to concentrate on what they knew best: combining experience in corporate law with the know-how of tax specialists. Today, the firm has eight partners, most of them qualified both as lawyers and tax advisors ("Steuerberater"). Several associates are aspiring partners.
True to its origins, the firm continues to focus on corporate and tax law. However, to satisfy the complete range of our clients' needs, we also work in related fields. External specialists that we appreciate for their demonstrated expertise advise on issues as anti-trust and intellectual property law. In transborder matters, we are able to cooperate with renowned experts from all over the world, since we are independent of an established network of law firms.
Our clients are mid-sized companies ("Mittelstand") as well as their owners and families, investors with German and foreign holdings or asset managers working for family offices, entrepreneurs founding and buying businesses, established firms considering divestments, as well as wealthy individuals seeking advice on asset and succession planning or the establishment of trusts. We also assist in setting up private investment funds requiring specific tax and legal structuring. We furthermore act as executors of wills ("Testamentsvollstrecker"), as well as arbitrators and moderators in disputes. In case an amicable cannot be reached, we represent our clients in court.
Our clients benefit from the convenience and cost effectiveness of our integrated approach in combining corporate and tax advice. Dedicated to serving individual needs, we are proud of our long-standing, generation bridging relationships with many clients.
